If you use Kick Military camp, unless it somehow links the partitions, you should be able to only boot into a LiveCD after you setup the Windows partition and format the Bone X sectionalization. I wouldn't recommend doing that though, because it'll exist a PITA if you have to reinstall it later, and just leaving it on a partition (even if it's somewhat small since you wont be using information technology) shouldn't bear upon anything.

You lot can install Windows straight from CD/DVD (hold downward C to boot from the optical disc). You do Not demand to use Boot Military camp or have Mac OS X on the machine if you don't want to. Since Macs use Open Firmare, rather than BIOS bootup, you cannot use older versions of XP, just Vista/seven should be OK.

If you want to run Windows XP without [boot army camp and] having Mac OS X installed yous can follow these steps:

1. boot from the Mac Os Ten Install DVD

two. click on Utilities > Deejay Utility

3. select your Hard disk and click on the "Partitioning" tab

4. make the following choice and then click apply

- ane Division (name doesn't affair, format MS-DOS FAT)

- click the "Option" button and select "Chief Kicking Tape" as scheme

5. exit Disk Utility and restart the Mac while keeping the "alt/option" key pressed

Once the boot menu appears hit the eject key on the keyboard, insert your Windows XP Installation CD and look a 2nd or two. The Windows disk should appear for booting.

The rest is plain former Windows installation therefor no further instructions at this time. Once Windows is up and running insert the Mac OS Ten Installation disc again and open it in the Explorer - you should discover all necessary Windows drivers on it.

Hello, I do not think y'all can delete OSX on a mac.  Too if you try to only go along windows in it you lot might have trouble with drivers and compatibility.  What don't you try a little scrap of both worlds by either using parallels or kick camp.  Besides, it is never a bad feel to be familiar with both.  Parallels lets y'all run windows inside a virtual motorcar:

Kicking camp lets you lot dual boot a mac and a windows system:

You cannot do what you're proposing. So the question that comes to mind is why do y'all have a Mac if you don't desire to run OS X?

If y'all desire to run Windows on your Mac, Mac OS X must be on it, also. The hardware is tied to Os X, and Kicking Army camp requires Os X to be present in order to run. If you can't live with that, and so you're out of luck.

Use Boot Camp, which comes with your Mac. Kick Camp is often used to run newer versions of Windows like Windows 7, only information technology also supports Windows XP.
